Description Applications are determined by structures. In this course, students are taught to be informed about structures in nanoscales.
Overview
Structures have a great deal of influence on materials’ properties, and properties leads to find out materials’ application.

On top of that, in nanoscale, materials are manipulated to reach a specific structure for new applications. In one sense nanostructures are classified as zero, one, two and three dimensional structures. In addition, carbon nanostructures, porous materials, organic nanostructures and natural nanostructures are known classifications.

Booklet
Description
It starts with an introduction to different carbon structures. Then it explains about graphite and diamond, their structures and lattice schematic. Then it talks about graphene as a two dimensional nanostructure, its structure, and properties.

Mental Challenge
Why are different nano allotropes of carbon so important in nanotechnology?

Quizzes and Activities

Activity: list the same and different properties of diamond and graphene.
