Description Applications are determined by structures. In this course, students are taught to be informed about structures in nanoscales.
Overview
Structures have a great deal of influence on materials’ properties, and properties leads to find out materials’ application.

On top of that, in nanoscale, materials are manipulated to reach a specific structure for new applications. In one sense nanostructures are classified as zero, one, two and three dimensional structures. In addition, carbon nanostructures, porous materials, organic nanostructures and natural nanostructures are known classifications.

Booklet
Description
After a brief introduction, it talks about classification of composites based on matrix and reinforcement. Then it talks about polymer matrix composites, thermoset composites, and thermoplastic composites.

Mental Challenge
Can composites be classified based on their different phases? How?

Quizzes and Activities

Activity: Write an assay on why polymer composites are useful.
