Description Applications are determined by structures. In this course, students are taught to be informed about structures in nanoscales.
Overview
Structures have a great deal of influence on materials’ properties, and properties leads to find out materials’ application.

On top of that, in nanoscale, materials are manipulated to reach a specific structure for new applications. In one sense nanostructures are classified as zero, one, two and three dimensional structures. In addition, carbon nanostructures, porous materials, organic nanostructures and natural nanostructures are known classifications.

Booklet
Description
It starts with a review on the content of the last lesson. Then it again talks about nano-classification based on dimensions and goes through 0D, 1D and 2D materials

Mental Challenge
What are the practical examples of 0D, 1D, and 2D nanomaterials?

Quizzes and Activities

Activity: Research the differences between thin-films, nanoplates and nanosheets
