Description Applications are determined by structures. In this course, students are taught to be informed about structures in nanoscales.
Overview
Structures have a great deal of influence on materials’ properties, and properties leads to find out materials’ application.

On top of that, in nanoscale, materials are manipulated to reach a specific structure for new applications. In one sense nanostructures are classified as zero, one, two and three dimensional structures. In addition, carbon nanostructures, porous materials, organic nanostructures and natural nanostructures are known classifications.

Booklet
Description
It reviews the previous session, and gives a brief introduction. Then it talks about the interaction between matrix phase and reinforcement phase chemically and mechanically, and finishes with the meaning of distribution in composites.

Mental Challenge
What are the criteria for classification of composites based on their properties?

Quizzes and Activities

Activity: Find which classification of composites is more common and meaningful.
