Description Applications are determined by structures. In this course, students are taught to be informed about structures in nanoscales.
Overview
Structures have a great deal of influence on materials’ properties, and properties leads to find out materials’ application.

On top of that, in nanoscale, materials are manipulated to reach a specific structure for new applications. In one sense nanostructures are classified as zero, one, two and three dimensional structures. In addition, carbon nanostructures, porous materials, organic nanostructures and natural nanostructures are known classifications.

Booklet
Description
It starts with the definition of nanowires and goes through their different types, synthesis methods, measurement equipment, their properties and applications.

Mental Challenge
What are the applications of nanowires? Are they the same as normal wires?

Quizzes and Activities

Activity: Explain why nanowire application in complex circuits is considered as a bottom-up method. (building more complex systems from simpler piece).
