Nano-biosensors in Agriculture

Category General
Difficulty Level Normal
Audience Level General
Description Nanoscience has a wide range of effects on other industries. In this course, a huge amount of information in regards with the role of nanoscience in industries is presented.
Overview
Rapid development of nanotechnology is often considered as a fundamental revolution in technology and is compared with the discovery of antibiotics, television, nuclear weapons, and computer technologies. Nanotechnology is a key technology and refers to a wide range of scientific and technological activities that study and work with phenomena or properties at nanometer scale (around 0.1-100nm; one nanometer is one millionth of a meter). Introducing current and potential applications is as significant as education. In this course, nanotechnology applications in textile, agriculture, oil and gas, automotive, environment, sports and nutrition industry are reported.

Booklet
Description
It starts with an introduction. Then it talks about gold nanoparticles, CNTs, Porous Silicon, nano sensors and prediction of plant diseases, pesticide residue in agriculture crops and soil, and then it talks about food safety control.

Mental Challenge
Is there only one type of nanosensors?

Quizzes and Activities

Activity: Find more on how nanoparticles can be used as nanobiosensors. Find commercial products or patented materials.
