Overview
Nano is still a strange word for society. It is essential to know what exactly nano term is. This course helps us to recognize the meaning of nanotechnology. In order to make nano term more tangible, definition of technology, science and etc. is incorporated in this course.  By the end of this course, nano is not an unknown word anymore.

Description
We have different unit of measurements to measure length, weight, force, etc. For example, pound is used in England and kilogram is used in the USA. Scientists have agreed to define a definite unit for each quantity. It helps to make a specific unit for different measurements of a quantity. For example, they namedthe unit of length in meters and mass in kg, time in second and pressure in pascal.These are basic measurement units. Units like area, volume, etc. are called subsidiary unit because it can be broken down into basic measurement units.

Activity: Find a meter and measure some objects around yourself. Make a list of objects and their length. Then measure them again with length of your hand. After that ask your mother to measures those objects with her hand. Write down all of them in a table. Now you have a list of objects, their length is measured by meter and your hand length and your mom`s hands length. Compare data and conclude which one is better.
