Description As we learnt in previous courses, nano is as small as a virus, thus, we need devices and methods working in this tiny world. Synthesis approaches and analytical methods in nanoscience are presented in this course.
Overview
Nano is a new science that uses its own methodology to be accessible. Top-down and bottom-up approaches are presented with some examples to clarify how nanomaterials are synthesized. On the other hand, characterization methods are take into account to learn how nanomaterials are investigated. In this course, students are encountered a couple of simple experiments with these concepts. They will be able to get the gist of nanomaterials synthesis approaches and characterization methods.

Description
In this lesson two main approaches of nanofabrication are explained. These call top-down and bottom-up. In top-down method, we try to achieve nanostructures by making small pieces form big objects. Bottom-up methods are those methods, which use to produce more organized and uniform nano structures compared to top-bottom methods.
