Description Structures have a great deal of influence on materials’ properties. On the other hand, structures are formed through the process of production. Thus, process, structure and property are interrelated factors in selecting a material for a specific function. Being familiar with structures plays a crucial role in nanotechnology. In this course we will be able to know some kinds of nanoscale structures.
Overview
In this course, natural nanostructures including carbon nanostructures and bioinspired intelligent nanostructures are taken into account. Natural structures in nanoscale trigger new materials with incredible applications. They are one of the attractive and impressive subjects in nanotechnology.  After this course students will be familiar with applications that are inspired by natural structures.

Booklet
Description
Anything in this world has its special physical and chemical properties such as color. However, in some cases, like butterfly’s wings, we observe several stunning colors. It is because of their tiny grooves to the size of molecules. These kind of properties, which have somehow between physical and chemical properties, are nano-properties.

Mental Challenge
Why would the butterfly’s wings change color while moving?

Quizzes and Activities

Activity: Compare glass, wood, cotton, plastic, paper by pouring water on their surface whether they absorb the water or not, and sort them by their tendency to absorb water.
